Showing defiance against the unpleasant weather conditions, the hardy U13s kept cricket going and were rewarded with a win at Stockton. Well done to the parents as well, providing support in their woolly hats, scarfs, gloves – typical June attire! Stockton batted first, making 94-2. Some decent bowling with George McAdam and Toby Gent taking the wickets. Some more fielding practice on the cards though! Batting the team knocked off the runs with 4 overs to spare. Max Martin (30 retired) and Owen Archbold (26 not out) putting together a measured run chase. Overall a good performance given the conditions – Richmond away in the cup on Monday.
